A 51 year old woman had a screening mammogram at her clinic. Twelve months had elasped from the time of her last exam. She was subsequetly diagnosed with a micropapillary DCIS of unknown size. It is unknown if her lymph nodes were affected at the time of this biopsy.
Here are the mammograms at the time the radiologist first detected the breast cancer by means of a mammogram:

The R2 ImageChecker system correctly identified the cancer area on the mammogram that was taken 12 months before the cancer was actually diagnosed. Diagnosis and treatment might have occurred a full year earlier.
